During my recent trip to New York City with @hautebyhuda, a lot of amazing food and drinks were consumed. I want to share a few of those places so you too, can indulge in the same goodness. This particular post focuses on the best SoHo restaurants since we spent our entire time there. There are so many great restaurants and cafes to try in NYC, that I wish I was a local. I guess I’ll just have to visit NYC a lot more to experience all of them.
1. Laduree Soho
As soon as I spotted Laduree on the streets of SoHo, I felt as though I was back in Paris. The interior is just as charming as the exterior, so be sure to add this on your list. The macarons are obviously delicious, but what’s worth mentioning is their French Toast. It is insanely delicious and I wish I could have went back for it before our trip ended.
2. Eat By Chloe
With only two locations, one being NYC and the other being Los Angeles, I knew I definitely wanted to make time for Eat By Chloe. By Chloe is an entirely vegan restaurant, with a dessert shop right next door called Sweets By Chloe. The decor at both places is very adorable, and inviting enough to have made Huda and I have a lengthy lunch. We didn’t even know how time flew, but we were so glad to have the most relaxing and delicious lunch during our trip at By Chloe. The Bean Burger and Grapefruit Lemonade are seriously to die for.
3. Jack’s Wife Freda
All I will say about this Mediterranean brunch spot is that I consumed the best Avocado Toast with Poached Egg ever. It wasn’t on the Brunch menu, but look for “Mashed Avocado on Seeded Bread” under the Sandwiches section and order that with egg. Seriously so good, and God bless you, Freda.
4. ViVi Bubble Tea
Not exactly in SoHo, but we found ourselves in the Lower East Side area on one of the afternoons. We knew this was our opportunity to try the very famous bubble tea and cotton candy concept. We were not disappointed at all. Read a cute story about our time there on my Instagram post here.
5. Coffee Project New York
Although I can’t choose a favourite from this list, Coffee Project New York is pretty up there. Maybe it’s because we had the amazing company of @thegreylayers (who captured this amazing shot btw) or maybe it’s because of their famous deconstructed latte concept. I’m definitely not an espresso drinker, so this was perfect for those who want to familiarize their taste buds with it. Make sure you check out this coffee spot when you’re in the Lower East Side area!
