Well, that’s because this is precisely what the weather is like in Toronto. We had 20-something degree weather for a few days and now it’s back to chillier temperatures every so often. Be it Toronto or elsewhere, spring is often chillier to begin with which is why this is the ideal transitional layer and the perfect spring trench coat. I love the relaxed, flowing fit and I can’t complain about how soft it feels, either. You know what else I love? This trench coat has no buttons, hooks, flaps or even a belt. It just has two large pockets near the bottom, one on each side and frankly speaking, that’s all I need for a quick on-the-run look. This this style of trench coat has so many name variations; draped duster coat, draped trench coat, waterfall trench coat, flowing trench coat etc. However you want to name it, I totally recommend this spring trench coat to put together a casual Friday work or a chic city look.

By the way, I slipped in some exciting news on Twitter the other day. I guess I should make it official on the blog too, right? I recently got accepted to RewardStyle, and I am so excited about being able to share my finds with you. I must say though, the good news came as a complete surprise to me because 1) I’m still fairly new to blogging and 2) I was having a bad day so we rarely ever expect things to look up right away when we’re in that upset zone, right? Anyhow, it was the best news for this stage of my blog and I have been spending the last few days familiarizing myself with the tools they offer. I can’t wait to bring them to my blog so you can take advantage of all the good stuff. The best part? My Instagram photos are finally shoppable so if you like something, just sign up for LikeToKnow.it and you’ll receive shopping links. Make sure you configure the notification settings to your preference. In the comments section, I’d love to hear about the sort of shopping content you’d like to see in the future on Songbird Echoes. Also, if you’re a digital style publisher and interested in joining RewardStyle, feel free to send me an email and I may be able to refer you.

Enjoy your weekend and don’t forget to check out my curated selection below to help you find the perfect relaxed spring trench coat!

What a lovely trench! I love a flowing trench coat – especially in that color. I just invested in my first basic trench coat, so I’m excited to get some wear out of it this spring 🙂
