Yes, I’m wearing black in spring. You know what, I might even paint my nails black with hints of white because ain’t nothing wrong with some monochrome in spring time. Even though it may seem like it, this time of year doesn’t always have to be all about the florals and the pastels. If you want to wear black, then you do just that girl.
We all know that putting together a monochrome outfit is a foolproof plan for anyone who wants to look stylish. Btw, when I say monochrome, I mean classic monochrome; black, white and maybe grey. I found this flowy, chiffon black sleeveless longline top at M for Mendocino and instantly fell in love with it. I can’t lie, I was a bit clueless on how to make it work for spring but the idea of white culottes gave this look the perfect spring vibe. I finished the look with one of my favourite Zara heels and since the look was more on the minimalistic side, I wore thin metallic bracelets from Aldo.
Just as I’m typing this out, another ensemble comes to mind. I think next time, I would wear a black crop top with these white culottes and a grey or silver choker. Okay, it’s your turn now – how would you wear monochrome in spring? Comment below!
Ps. If you’re in Toronto, get this exact outfit at M for Mendocino, located in the Holt Renfrew Centre. You will have the loveliest shopping experience with the ladies there! For my non-Torontonians, I’ve linked some beautiful longline tops and culottes down below.
