New Year’s Eve is upon us and even if we aren’t ready for it, 2015 comes to an end today, as we celebrate with our most loved ones. I am celebrating this wonderful evening by having an intimate celebration and I wouldn’t do it any other way. Although I will miss 2015, I am quite looking forward to 2016. This year was filled with challenges and growth, along with the launch of Songbird Echoes. This blog has been a long time coming and I am so glad you have joined me on this journey. In the coming year, I want to continue inspiring you through my echoes.
For the past two years I have celebrated New Years Eve on an airplane, due to wedding-related trips. When it came time to actually being here in Toronto for NYE this year, I wanted to make sure I made the most of it. I hit up my local Forever 21 and I couldn’t believe how many amazing options there were for such an affordable price tag. I knew I didn’t need to shop around because everything I was looking for could be found here. I chose a plain faux leather cut out dress that could be worn again, and topped it off with a geo patterned statement jacket.
I collaborated with Makeup Galore Studios to complete my New Year’s Eve outfit. It was so much fun having Preetie create this bold look on me and there’s no doubt how talented and passionate she is. It’s captured on video here. Make sure you check out her work on Instagram.
