A Valentine Moment

romantic-outfit-details-blush-pink-dress-jimmy-choo-w-hotel-montreal-valentine-moment-rosesI am a hopeless romantic, so February happens to be one of my most favourite months of the year. I hear you on the whole “we should love everyday, not just on Valentine’s day” and I also preach the same but there’s no denying that something about February gets everybody in the love mood. It also means needing to find a romantic date night outfit if the Valentine’s Day plans include going out. My husband and I were lucky to spend the Valentine weekend in Montreal, a place I happen to see as the next best thing to Paris. Unfortunately, Mother Nature wasn’t on our side, so we stayed in for most of the weekend. Although, when that means staying in at the W Montreal all weekend, it isn’t such a bad idea all of a sudden. I loved the decor and entire style of our room, so it seemed fitting to sneak in a few shots of my outfit here. With an extremely busy week leading up to our Montreal getaway, I had absolutely no time to shop for my outfit. It was the day before we were leaving and I called my husband feeling upset that I don’t know where to find the perfect romantic date night outfit. To my surprise, he actually had an answer for me, “Go to M for Mendocino! You always end up falling in love with something there.” I did just that and put together this outfit with Taryn, one of their lovely stylists. M for Mendocino has been my go-to for a while now so if you’re in Toronto, you should definitely check them out.

When I wore this outfit in Montreal and finished getting ready completely, my husband commented on my look right away. That doesn’t happen all the time (welcome to married life), and the sudden compliment made his reaction feel so heartwarming. In those few seconds, I had my Valentine moment and I knew we were going to have an even more beautiful evening ahead. I hope you enjoyed reading about my Valentine moment and are inspired for your next romantic date night outfit.
